1969 – Mahatma Gandhi centenary 10 rupees silver coin

	Description: Easy to describe. On obverse, there is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi looking left. The words Mahatma Gandhi appear in English and Hindi (the official language of India) followed by 1869-1948. The coin was probably minted in 1969 which would have been the centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, 'Father of the Indian nation' as he is popularly called. On the reverse is the 3-lion pillar emblem of the Indian Government with 10 written below it and the words Rupees India written in English and 'Bharat Rupiye' written in Hindi.
